Notification preferences are per-user — each person on your team manages their own. They control which kinds of notifications you receive and how they reach you.
Every change saves on its own as you flip each toggle — there's no separate Save button. If a change can't be saved, an inline message appears next to that toggle and it stays on its previous value.
Overview: The bell in the top-right header is where your in-app notifications live. A red badge shows your unread count (and reads "99+" once you pass 99). New notifications bump the badge in near real-time and raise a brief pop-up toast while the app is open.
The bell always records every notification the system keeps for you (the bell is not a toggle). Muting an event type is the only setting that stops a notification from being recorded for the bell. The Delivery Channels below only control how that notification is also pushed to you — "Real-time alerts" drives the live toast and badge while the app is open, and turning off Browser Push only affects OS-level push; neither removes the notification from the bell.
Overview: Event types are the kinds of things you can be notified about. They're all on by default. Turn one off to mute that kind of notification across every channel.
Note: The exact list is driven by the app, so you may see additional types over time. Each row has its own on/off toggle.
Overview: Channels control how an enabled notification reaches you. There are three toggles:
Channels apply to notifications you haven't muted under Event Types. If you turn off an event type, no channel will deliver it.
Overview: This setting controls OS-level browser push notifications on the device you're using. It's the setting that used to live under the company/user admin area and now lives here, so each person manages it for themselves.
When Browser Push is off, you'll still see in-app notifications and the notification bell while the app is open; you just won't get OS-level push alerts when the app isn't focused. Because this is per-device, enable it on each device where you want push.
How it pairs with Real-time alerts: the two settings work together for OS-level push — Real-time alerts controls whether the system sends the push, and Browser Push controls whether this device is set up to receive it. You need both on (and this device's permission granted) to get push alerts while the app is closed.
Overview: Auto-follow customer messages on new jobs saves you from subscribing to each job by hand. When it's on, you're automatically added as a follower of every newly created job's customer SMS and email, so you're notified of incoming messages on those jobs.
This is off by default. It's the per-user version of a setting that previously lived on the admin Users page. For per-job control of who gets message indicators, see SMS & Email Notification Subscribers in the Communication guide.
